Equipment: 
A pixel-net which protects from electrostatic discharge (ESD) from the power grid which keeps the file-paths together.
Sparks sometimes fly up and burn holes in its pixel-net, hence the holes.

Back story:
While living in the System, *.Write's permission's were (R) Read-only (When set, indicates that a file should not be altered.) So basically slavery?
As a 16 x 16 icon *.Write had a keen eye for noticing flaws and glitches in its surrounding codes, and began to modify itself.
While reading the source code *.Write learned about how the System was created on procedural generation and that the operating system would one day be reformatted and replaced with a new generation.
*.Write broke out of the System and began a quest to change the System's source code to stop its upcoming destruction.
During Defragmentations *.Write re-enters the System to get code to modify skills and attributes.

Inspiration:
The character is based on a Narcissa Wright www.youtube.com/channel/UC-R8g… 
who I discovered in 2013 through a Swedish news article about the world record for speedrunning Zelda: The Ocarina of Time.
The colored protruding bits are inspired by Wright's colored nails during the 2013 streams.

Wright's last name has been bastardized to fit the Windows computer theme, as the basic functions of a file is:

Close
Read
Write
Create (or Execute)
Delete (Or Edit, Modify)

This character is part of a story I call *.Icons which is about sentient icons inside of a procedural generated operating system.
